Managing Partner John Payne and Director of Creative Services Susan Thanet Payne have more than forty years of combined experience providing graphic design solutions to international and domestic clients. Susan, with a Master of Science in Communications Design from Pratt Institute of New York City, is a multiple award winning designer (including a Clio Award finalist in 1997). She has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies in her past position as design director for one of the largest brand identity firms in Manhattan. John earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ithaca College and has produced photography and digital images for companies throughout the New York metropolitan area.

In March 2007, Gotham Graphix relocated their office to historic Staunton, Virginia. They are in a cool Victorian house just around the corner from Blackfriars Playhouse and the Stonewall Jackson Hotel.
